Drum Loop 1

  1. You don't have a post, so I can't give you full credit, but your loop is good. I like the double time feel in the second pattern, and your fill sets it up nicely.

  2. Ah I'm sorry. I must've posted at the end of class.
My drumbeat was inspire by my love for punk rock. While the drum beats are simplistic, it provides for solid feel for any tune. The first part of my loop was inspired by the Ramones, for that generic punk feel. After the fill, I wanted to pick things up a bit without actually adjusting the tempo, a song I remembered using this technique was "Don't Open Till' Doomsday" by the Misfits, another great punk band. By putting in double snare hits in the second half of the loop, it speed it up just like the song that had inspired me. I used basic tools from FL studio, but over all I'm very happy with the results.
